The story of Beutler Cattle Company begins in 1969, when Clarence Beutler Jr. took a chance and purchased a struggling salebarn in Pender, Nebraska. With hard work, grit, and a relentless focus on customer service, he transformed it into a thriving livestock hub for cattlemen and hog producers across the region. From the start, it was a family affair — with Clarence’s sons, Mike and Chris, by his side, and eventually his grandsons, Zach, Josh, and Baxter, growing up in the very heart of the business.

Pender Livestock Inc. taught us timeless lessons that are the foundation of our cattle program today: the best cattle combine performance, phenotype, and, above all, the reputation of the breeder behind them.

Those same values drive Beutler Cattle Company. We continue the legacy with every mating decision, every sale, and every handshake. Clarence worked in the day to day of the business well into his 90s and still keeps a sharp eye on the weekly auction results and the cattle market reports — a testament to the passion that runs deep in our family and our cattle.
