For three generations, the Beutler family has been built on hard work, entrepreneurship, and a passion for livestock. Mike, Chris, Josh, and Zach have each carved their own path in business ownership, but for Zach, the pull of the Angus breed was undeniable. That passion led to the founding of Beutler Cattle Company — a full-throttle dive into the cow/calf business. Zach often says, “If I could do anything, I’d be a broke cowboy every day,” and that mindset fuels the relentless drive behind our program.

Together with his wife Kalie, Zach is building Beutler Cattle Company with a vision for the future: to create an industry-leading program that stands the test of time and serves generations to come. From day one, we’ve invested in elite donor cows backed by proven pedigrees, powerful performance data, and exceptional phenotype. Growing up in the livestock auction business taught us firsthand that the commercial cattleman’s profitability hinges on three things: longevity, fertility, and performance. That’s exactly what we breed for — cattle that work as hard as the men and women who run them.
